Schedule Summary for Tehachapi Prison Workshops:

  • The prison program at CCI Tehachapi has been temporarily stopped while the yard is being changed into a Special Needs Yard. This will probably be done by Spring and then we will start again. FYI: Since Feb 2007, we have had over 400 men go through the workshop. Of these 400 men, the yard experienced 3 non-serious 115's…a huge improvement. A 115 is like a ticket and, if serious, can result in more time served and/or time in solitary. 22 of these men became facilitators and have been transferred to other prisons where we hope there is an AVP program they can continue to work with. So we will start over soon. If you will be interested in facilitating or if you want to start your training with the inmates, contact Diana at 661-942-3025 or avpav@aol.com.

(no workshops currently planned, see other locations)

For future reference:

Anyone interested in facilitating or participating in the prison workshops, must not have a recent felony on their record and may not be employed by Dept. of Corrections and Rehabilitation or be visiting inmates in the institution in which they are planning to enter with AVP.

I need for security clearance purposes:

Name on Driver's License
Driver's License Number
Driver's License Expiration Date
Birthdate
Social Security Number C

Remember, we do accept outside participants in the prison workshops.

The Palmdale parole office is changing the format of their parolee orientation. The orientation will be held each Wednesday at 1:30pm (until about 3:00pm). Vendors will each have their own booth. Doug and I have been presenting AVP to the parolees for 2 years now. This will give us a better chance to talk one-on-one and invite them to workshops. We are looking for people to help man the booth and answer questions. Call Doug 661-942-3025 if you can help.
